(Patria) - Yesterday's dramatic incident in which a brother accidentally shot his sister just a centimeter from the heart during wedding preparations ended without life-threatening consequences, announced today from the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, adding that the patient is feeling better.
The woman (53) was wounded during wedding preparations in Malo Blaško near Laktaši.
- In the crucial minutes, a top team of doctors saved the patient's life thanks to an extremely quick and professional intervention - stated from the UKC.
They added that the surgery was performed blindly without X-ray due to the urgency of the situation and lack of time.
- The doctors opened the chest cavity, located and removed the bullet, and during the procedure evacuated two liters of blood. Such procedures are extremely rare and require top-notch knowledge, experience, and determination - stated from the UKC.
