Musical Footloose returns to the boards that mean life

After a triumphant premiere on 13 June and excellent encores in Sarajevo and Zenica for which tickets were in high demand, due to great public interest the musical Footloose will be reprised on 20 December at 8 p.m. at the National Theatre Sarajevo, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

The audience can expect one hour and 30 minutes of energetic choreography by Samra Mlinar-Mandić, set to musical hits from 1984, “Holding out for a hero”, “Never”, “Almost paradise” and “Footloose” in arrangements by Adnan Mušanović. Musical direction is by Alma Ferović-Fazlić, direction by Irfan Avdić and Emin Hajrić, repetiteur by Aida Mušanović.

In the lead roles, the audience will see Leonard Šarić, Melisa Hajrulahović – Tomić, Tarik Mulaomerović, Nikolina Vujić, Aida Mušanović, Alen Hadžić, Ivan Sušac, Negra Čičić, Ajsela Zoronjić, Narcis Zečić, Adis Pirić and Irma Mulić. The Footloose ensemble consists of: Tina Dervišević, Edina Kordić, Emina Zahirović, Medina Turković, Rabija Mahmutović, Iva Vukić, Andrea Krasnić, Dinka Stroil, Andrijana Tadić, Lejla Čaušević, Ena Prutina, Dzenana Aganspahić, Dino Hasanbegović, Irfan Čekić, Muedib Islamović, Amel Begić.

The “Footloose” band consists of: Adnan Mušanović, piano, Amar Češljar, drums, Darko Hrgić, bass guitar, Vedran Vujica, guitar and Erik Marjanović, sax. The musical is produced by the Institute for Music, Theatre and Multimedia in cooperation with the Music Academy Sarajevo, the Academy of Performing Arts and the National Theatre Sarajevo.
