Sanica residents not allowed into their homes since last night, fear of new earthquakes

Seismological instruments of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute recorded a strong earthquake in the Sanica area, on the Ključ-Sanski Most road, measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale two hours after midnight. Today at 2:56 PM, new ground tremors of lesser intensity, 2.5 on the Richter scale, were recorded, writes the Patria News Agency.

Residents of Sanica who called our editorial office told us that they have literally been out of their homes since last night, that the ground is constantly shaking, and that none of them dare to spend the night in their homes tonight.

- Some holes have started to open in the ground. There are natural sinkholes in this area anyway, but what happened since last night has greatly disturbed us. The feeling of the ground constantly shaking beneath your feet, the rumbling you hear instills fear and unrest among the residents. The story has also emerged that a devastating earthquake will happen tonight. We are all in fear, one of the residents of Sanica told us in a phone conversation.
