Residents of Maglaj settlements protested at the Corridor 5c construction site

(Patria) - Residents of the settlements Galovac and Strupina in the municipality of Maglaj gathered this morning for a peaceful protest and halted work on a section of the Corridor 5c highway route passing through their settlements.

The reason, they point out, is the poor quality construction of the access infrastructure, which complicates their daily lives.

Two years ago, they sent a request to Autoceste Federacije (Motorways of the Federation) to sign an Agreement on a Friendly Environment, but they say this has not happened to date.

Residents are demanding the correction of constructed local roads and facilities, the repair of water supply and other infrastructure destroyed during the works, as well as the construction of a 200-meter road that would connect these settlements to the rest of the municipality with quality.

Otherwise, they announce a lawsuit against Autoceste Federacije BiH.

Autoceste, on the other hand, responds that they are in daily contact with representatives of the local community and that the works are being carried out in accordance with the project documentation.
