One Month Detention for Selma Baluković's Killer

(Patria) - The judge for preliminary proceedings of the Cantonal Court of Tuzla accepted the proposal of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla and ordered a one-month detention for Hungarian citizen Erno Szabo-Csaki (50).

Detention was ordered due to the existence of a well-founded suspicion that he killed his wife Selma Baluković in her family home in the Tuzla suburban settlement of Lipnica between February 19 and 21, 2024, when the deceased's body was found.

The suspect is accused of using a cold weapon - a bow and arrow during the aforementioned period, firing an arrow at the victim, hitting her in the chest area, which caused internal bleeding and the death of Selma Baluković.

The suspect was also found in the house with stab wounds to the abdomen and was hospitalized at the University Clinical Center Tuzla for two weeks. After being discharged from hospital treatment, he was arrested and handed over to the Prosecutor's Office.

The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspect. Investigative actions and expert examinations are underway.
