One-month detention for Miftar Ameti over shooting on Bjelašnica

(Patria) - Deciding on the proposal of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, in the criminal case against the suspect M.A., due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of causing general danger, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo issued a decision ordering one-month detention for the suspect.

This concerns Miftar Ameti, who is suspected of firing at least five shots from a pistol at a car containing two people on Bjelašnica two nights ago.

After the suspect fired, the victim, while trying to flee, hit several cars, one of which rebounded and injured a passerby.

Detention was proposed due to the risk of flight, as well as the risk that the suspect, if at large, could influence witnesses, conceal evidence, and repeat the criminal offense.
