Mirsad Jašarspahić wasn't tested, and it turned out he was positive

(Patria) - The President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH, Mirsad Jašarspahić, confirmed himself that he is positive for coronavirus, but also that they didn't want to test him earlier.
The healthcare in Canton Sarajevo decided only yesterday, and at his insistence, to test him, despite telling them that he had contact with a person confirmed to be infected with coronavirus on March 13.

A sample was taken from Jašarspahić for testing only yesterday and sent to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), where it was confirmed that he is another person in Sarajevo positive for coronavirus. The President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH told us that he has been in home isolation since the director of Igman, Đahid Muratbegović, was confirmed to be infected with coronavirus (March 19).

"I had contact with him on March 13, 2020, and I immediately went into isolation. Given that other people from the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH had contact with Muratbegović, they also put themselves in home isolation and are working from home. I isolated myself properly in the apartment by staying in only one room and using one toilet, all to keep the rest of the family safe," said Jašarspahić.

As he says, he unfortunately managed to get tested only yesterday, as the 14th day since he was in home isolation and since he had contact with a person infected with coronavirus is approaching.

"I am a mechanical engineer and not from this profession. I respect every profession. According to regulations, I reported to my family doctor, who handled all the reporting for me, and every day he had information on whether I had a fever or not. One day, a woman from the Public Health Institute or the epidemiological service called me, and I explained to her how I was proceeding. I asked if I would be tested, and the answer was: 'Nothing if you don't have symptoms yet. We'll be in touch.' There was information that the test cannot be reliable if a person does not have symptoms," said Jašarspahić.

He added that he continued to work from home isolation via the internet to show what problems the economy is facing due to the new situation related to the coronavirus.
