Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, hosted an informal gathering with journalists, writes the Patria News Agency.
Also present at the gathering were Uroš Pena and Mile Jurić, deputy directors of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the gathering culminated in a simulated arrest of journalists.
Namely, in an adjacent room, a training exercise for the anti-attack team was taking place, and the journalists expressed a desire to watch part of the exercise. However, Vilić told them to wait in the room while he organized a demonstration.
But, after a few minutes, five members of the Directorate literally rushed into the room with the journalists, ordering everyone to stay put. Few failed to obey the officers' orders, and some dropped glasses and cigarettes from their hands.
This unexpected surprise from Vilić surprised the members of the press, and they unanimously concluded that they would not like to be in the position of those who would be handled by the well-trained members of the Directorate.
Otherwise, during the informal gathering, Vilić highlighted all the successes of the Directorate to date, as well as the responsibilities of this police agency.
The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies secures 136 facilities and protects more than 20 VIP persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The media are an extremely important link between the police and citizens. In 12 months, the Directorate has invested significantly in equipment, and we have signed important agreements. We are keeping pace with modern society and trends because new challenges are increasingly facing us – said Vilić.
