Minister Salčinović meets with representatives of the ZDK Pensioners' Association

(Patria) - Minister of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Aida Salčinović held a consultative meeting today with representatives of the Association of Pensioners' Unions of ZDK, Fahro Bajramović, Mustafa Trakić and Mirnes Buljubašić.

The meeting was also attended by the acting director of the Health Insurance Institute, Ahmed Kasap.

At the initiative of the Association of Pensioners' Unions of ZDK, important issues related to the health care of pensioners in the canton were discussed during the meeting, with the aim of assessing the current situation and finding solutions that will contribute to improving the availability and quality of health services for this population.

Special attention was paid to the essential list of medicines, with a proposal to increase funds, the problems of long waiting lists for specialist examinations, and the issue of spa treatment approved by the Health Insurance Institute.

Additionally, the issue of Health Insurance Institute stamps was highlighted.

The Minister of Health emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue with the Pensioners' Association, stating that the Ministry's goal is to ensure better health care and greater support for pensioners through joint activities.

The representatives of the Association expressed satisfaction with the Ministry's openness to cooperation and stated that they expect the continuation of constructive talks in the coming period.

The director of the Health Insurance Institute presented planned measures for more efficient use of health resources, emphasizing that the Institute will continue to work on improving the availability of health services for pensioners.

This meeting represents an important step towards strengthening cooperation between institutions and associations, with the aim of jointly improving health care for pensioners in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
