(Patria) - Minister of Health of Canton Sarajevo Enis Hasanović and Director of the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" Ismet Gavrankapetanović signed today the Agreement on financing the project "Replacement of Hospital Elevators", for which the Ministry of Health secured two million KM from the Canton Sarajevo budget for 2026.
Hospital elevators are a key part of the daily functioning of a healthcare facility. Their reliability and safety are of particular importance for the transport of patients, medical equipment, and healthcare staff, especially in emergency and life-threatening situations.
Minister Hasanović said that the Ministry of Health continues to invest in the modernization of healthcare facilities throughout Canton Sarajevo.
- We continuously invest in healthcare infrastructure because we want to ensure safe, functional, and dignified conditions for patient treatment and the work of healthcare workers.
The replacement of hospital elevators at the General Hospital represents an important step towards improving overall safety within the facility - Hasanović stated.
This project is part of the ongoing activities of the Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo aimed at strengthening the capacities of the public healthcare system, healthcare infrastructure, and creating the most adequate conditions for providing services to the citizens of Canton Sarajevo.
