Ministry of Security of BiH requests readiness in case of heavy rainfall

(Patria) - The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina has informed the competent institutions of the protection and rescue system in BiH and international partners about the announced unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions in BiH, i.e., precipitation that could cause floods in our country, and requested them to be ready in case additional forces are needed to assist civil protection services.

"The notification was sent to the Ministry of Defense of BiH, should the need arise for the engagement of aircraft and members of the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as to the European Commission's Coordination Centre for Emergency Response in case of need for international assistance. Also, at today's meeting in the Protection and Rescue Sector of the Ministry of Security of BiH, it was requested to intensify the exchange of information with other competent institutions in BiH in order to monitor the situation on the ground and prepare a timely response, as well as the work of the Operational-Communication Center of BiH 112, which is ready to carry out the necessary coordination in sending assistance to endangered areas in case of requests from the field," the Ministry of Security announced.
