
(Patria) - The Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton of November 27th published the Rulebook on the type, content, and method of submitting documentation to the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction, and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton, required for the realization of subsidy top-ups for beneficiaries of the Public Call for subsidizing the housing solutions for young people for 2023.
"A candidate who has realized the right to a subsidy under the Public Call and is on the final waiting list of candidates for subsidizing housing solutions for young people, number 05/01-19- 44617-5/25 dated December 25, 2023, is obliged to submit the following for the top-up of funds:
a) An extract from the land registry as proof that the candidate has not alienated the apartment or house that is the subject of the purchase agreement, or the apartment or house that is the subject of construction;
b) CIPS residence registration as proof that the candidate has not changed their place of residence outside the territory of Sarajevo Canton.
(2) Exceptionally, from the provisions of paragraph (1) point a) of this article, if the ownership right has not been registered, the candidate is obliged to submit a confirmation from the competent court about the submitted request for registration of ownership right for the property, or a confirmation from the competent authority about the submitted request for payment of property tax, or a confirmation from the investor that the construction of the property has not been completed.
(3) A candidate who has closed the transaction account to which the subsidy funds for housing solutions for young people were paid is obliged to submit a bank confirmation of the transaction account to which the top-up funds will be paid under the Public Call.
(4) The documents from paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) of this article must be submitted in original or certified photocopy and must not be older than 30 days from the date of submission of the documentation.
(5) By submitting the documents from paragraphs (1) and (2) of this article, the candidate is exempted from submitting the proofs prescribed by the Public Call in January 2026," the Rulebook states. The notice was also published on the Ministry's website on November 26th, and the deadline for submitting documentation is 20 days. If candidates do not submit the documentation within the deadline, they lose the right to the top-up of funds.
The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton adopted a special law that enables the payment of the subsidy difference under the Public Call from 2023. Approximately 1,100 applicants received 4,816 KM each, and the difference should be around 5,000 KM. The payment of the difference requires 5.5 million KM, but the final decision on payment will be made by the Government of Sarajevo Canton based on the documentation submitted by the Ministry of Communal Economy.
