Ministry gave a positive opinion for gas price reduction

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry announced that it has given a positive opinion on the justification of the correction, i.e., the reduction of the selling price of natural gas for the third quarter of 2024, starting from July 1.

- The final decision on regulating gas supply prices will be made by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade.

In case the movement of oil and gas prices on the European market continues to be under political influences, as well as global price movements of all materials and goods, a new price correction will be made for the fourth quarter of 2024 - said Minister Vedran Lakić.

The Ministry adds that the reduction in natural gas prices was possible due to developments in the global gas and oil market.

The gradual decline in oil and petroleum product prices in recent months has influenced the reduction of natural gas prices.

Gas prices are determined according to a defined formula for each quarter individually. The selling price of gas for privileged tariff customers (distribution companies) of Energoinvest d.d. - Sarajevo for the III quarter of 2024 will be reduced by 3.69%, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.
