Minister Sirovica at the marking of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj

(Patria) - Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica attended the ceremonial marking of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj, which is very significant for the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

On November 10, 1993, the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj was formed.
That day, at 12:00, on the plateau of the Hidrogradnja quarry (village of Pope), before the ceremonial formation of fighters and numerous officials of the civilian authorities and members of the command of the 3rd Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Commander Fadil Imamović reported to the commander of the Third Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Mehmed Alagić, that the 311th Light Brigade was formed and ready to carry out all wartime tasks.

At the first formation and ceremonial review, the newly formed 311th Light Brigade in its organizational and formation structure had a command, staff and support units, i.e., a sabotage-reconnaissance company, a support company, an engineer platoon and a logistics company, and 5 light infantry companies with a total of 964 soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers.

On this occasion, the wartime commander of the brigade, Fadil Imamović, addressed those present, and flowers were laid at the Central Memorial to the martyrs and fallen fighters.
