Minister Šabani visited works: Čajdraš-Ovnak road of great importance for Zenica and ZDK

(Patria) - Minister for Spatial Planning, Traffic and Communications and Environmental Protection of ZDK Adnan Šabani today, together with the Director of the Cantonal Road Directorate Nandin Škrbić and Assembly representative Alen Kapković, visited the local community of Pojske, where final works on the rehabilitation of the regional road R413a Čajdraš - Ovnak - ZDK border are being carried out at the Obrenovci site.



- The regional road Čajdraš - Ovnak represents an important road communication for a large number of residents of the so-called Kočevski basin with Zenica and is also a connection between two cantons, which is why it is very important for us that it is always passable, of high quality, and safe for road users, especially pedestrians.

The works lasted a bit longer because, with the consent of the supervisory authority, minor project corrections were necessary, which was in the interest of the local population who have access to the road, as well as for all drivers on this route - stated Šabani.

The value of the project is 473,755.23 KM with VAT, and the selected contractor was the company "Komgrad-Ze" d.o.o.



Soon, the rehabilitation of 450 meters of the roadway through the settlement of Pojske will begin on the Čajdraš - Ovnak road. The work, under the supervision of Sarajevo's "FM-Inžinjering", will be carried out by the company "Špic - beton" d.o.o. Zenica, and the contracted value of the project is 384,894.90 KM.

- Including regular maintenance, which also includes the recent installation of new vertical and horizontal signage on the regional road Zenica - Čajdraš - Ovnak - ZDK and SBK border, over a million KM has been invested or will be invested this year.

This road is of great importance for Zenica and ZDK, and therefore the Government and the ministry will proceed with the rehabilitation of the remaining section towards Ovnak as early as spring next year - concluded Šabani.
