SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović spoke today in Sarajevo with the president of the sports organisation ON1, Karim Hebib, about the future development of judo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hebib informed Minister Osmanović that judo holds a special place in the sports organisation he leads.
“Judo is one of the most trophy-winning sports, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but in the entire region, and our desire is to organise the situation in this sport so that the results of judokas from BiH are not the product of individual talent, but of a systematic organisation of the sport. We run our association in a way that we pay equal attention to both sports achievements and the educational role, with the aim of having new generations of judo champions in the future,” said Karim Hebib.
Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanović said that the Ministry is ready to support all projects in sports within its competencies and realistic possibilities.
The sports society ON 1 has a team of promising judo fighters, who are among the most trophy-winning young judokas in the country. They have participated in several prestigious international competitions and returned with medals. Hebib emphasises the desire to bring the world's greatest authorities to Bosnia and Herzegovina so that they can pass on their knowledge to young athletes.
