Renowned BiH basketball player Jusuf Nurkić, a member of the NBA team Denver Nuggets, informed the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, Adil Osmanović, during today's visit about plans to launch a basketball camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria News Agency.
- My great desire is to help children and young basketball players in BiH. I believe it is a great thing for them to be able to train with top NBA coaches and players, and I will strive to make that possible for them - said Nurkić.
He informed the minister that the basketball camp will be held this year in June in Tuzla and that he expects around 350 youngest basketball players from all parts of BiH. There are also plans for the camp to be held in other BiH cities in the coming years where there is interest.
The Minister of Civil Affairs, Adil Osmanović, supported Nurkić's initiative and offered full support within the Ministry's jurisdiction.
- You are a constant inspiration for our athletes. Successful young people like Jusuf Nurkić are the best promotion of the country in the world - said Minister Osmanović.
During the conversation between Minister Osmanović and Jusuf Nurkić, it was emphasized that the results achieved by BiH athletes are significantly ahead of the conditions in which they work. Therefore, an appeal was made for assistance to young athletes in order to create better conditions for them to achieve successful sports careers.
