Minister Lasić and Spanish Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Economic Relations Between the Two Countries

Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić met today at the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of Spain to BiH Bosco Gimenez Soriano, reports the news agency Patria.

The Ambassador of Spain thanked the minister for the reception and expressed the desire for Spain to actively participate in the economic development of BiH and for the two countries to strengthen their economic relations through investments and infrastructure projects.

Minister Lasić thanked the ambassador for the selfless assistance that Spain provides to BiH and the proven friendship between the two countries, which is also reflected in the central square in Mostar named Spanish Square.

The minister informed the ambassador about the planned dynamics of the construction of Corridor Vc.

-The Government of the Federation of BiH, through the activities of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications and by fulfilling legal prerequisites, will do everything to ensure that Spanish investors and companies are among the partners in this significant area, Minister Lasić said during the meeting.

Ambassador Bosco Gimenez Soriano emphasized that Spaniards, or rather Europeans, see the strategic importance of the construction of Corridor Vc, which is reflected in the economic and geopolitical connection of people, and offered the experience and knowledge that Spain gained on its path to the European Union.

Also, at the meeting, the TALGO project and ways in which the Government of Spain and the Government of FBiH could resolve the long-standing issues through joint cooperation, for the benefit of citizens and users of railway transport services, were discussed.

Minister Lasić and Ambassador Bosco Gimenez Soriano agreed to intensify cooperation in the coming months and the possibility of a meeting between Spanish and BiH companies, it was announced from the relevant ministry.
