Minister Kazazović with Directors of Sarajevo Primary Schools

The second session of the active directors of Sarajevo primary schools, held today on Igman, was largely dedicated to the start of the new school year, reports the Patria news agency.

After the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton requested all schools to publish lists of required textbooks before the start of the school year, the practice of this year's school bazaars, where interested parties could obtain textbooks at very affordable prices, proved to be successful.

Today, the idea was also mentioned to define lists of required textbooks at the end of the school year, so that students can obtain textbooks for the next grade at school bazaars as early as June. As planned, the Ministry procured free textbooks for all primary school attendees, as well as for students with weaker financial means.

Protocols were signed with associations that care for children with special needs to support the education of directors, teachers, and students for working with these children.

The active directors have provided their members for commissions that will work on amendments to the Law on Primary Education and the development of implementing acts.

For some time now, the School in Nature, as part of the educational process, has not been fully implemented, and today's presentation of the possibilities for holding it in the school facility of the branch school Šabići – OŠ "Zaim Kolar" should revive this good practice.

Directors were also presented with offers for the Ski School program, E-classrooms, and the Energy Efficiency Project in school facilities, and this was an opportunity for the Minister of Education, Science and Youth in the KS Government, Elvir Kazazović, to exchange views with the directors of Sarajevo primary schools and answer open questions in the primary education system, it was announced from the Ministry.
