Three people suspected of last night's attack on student S. J. (36), who was stabbed on the fourth floor of the Student Dormitory in Sarajevo, have been brought to the Sarajevo police premises, and the students in Nedžarići were visited by the dormitory director Emir Kadrić and the responsible minister Elvir Kazazović (Ministry of Education, Science and Youth KS), writes the Patria news agency.
As Kadrić pointed out, all persons who entered the Dormitory were first identified, and as he saw on site this morning, the situation is calm.
- This is not a prison. The dormitory is semi-open type and the attackers went to their colleagues. We cannot prevent someone from entering the Dormitory. However, the police should deal with that – says Kadrić.
He added that the state has done nothing in all the post-war years to ensure the safety of the dormitory residents is at a satisfactory level.
- We installed cameras ourselves and tried to raise the level of security with our meager funds. What I know for sure is that we will sanction all participants of the fight, which could have happened in a tram as well. As we managed to find out, the incident happened due to unsettled debts – Kadrić added.
We remind you that the incident occurred last night in the evening hours when one of the dormitory residents was seriously injured after being attacked by four people who do not live in the Student Dormitory.
- The patient sustained a stab wound to the abdomen and was admitted to the Clinic for Abdominal Surgery for further treatment – says Muamera Šehić, spokesperson for KCUS in Sarajevo.
