On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, the Minister of Housing, Diversity and Inclusion of the Government of Canada, Ahmed Hussen, issued a statement on behalf of the Government stating:
“On Srebrenica Remembrance Day we remember the victims and families whose lives were affected by the horrific genocide that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Minister Hussen confidently added that the Government of Canada will “continue to do everything in its power to ensure that crimes like these never happen again.”
It is important to note that Minister Hussen, a great fighter for justice, is also a friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the past few years, he has been involved in events organized by the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada in memory of the Srebrenica genocide, where he openly condemned genocide deniers.
