Minister Bukvarević in Bratunac and Potočari

Organized by the Federal Ministry for Veterans and Disabled Veterans of the Defense-Liberation War, and the Alliance of War Veterans of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Organization of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Alliance of Demobilized Soldiers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Alliance of Recipients of the Highest War Recognitions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visits to the Veljaci cemetery in Bratunac and the Potočari Memorial Center were held today, as is traditional every first Friday in September, reports the Patria News Agency.

On that occasion, the Federal Minister for Veterans and Disabled Veterans of the Defense-Liberation War, Salko Bukvarević, emphasized that this visit has special significance because the organizers of the visit are precisely the comrades-in-arms of all Bosnian martyrs. By visiting the cemetery, the federal minister said, they preserve the memory of their comrades-in-arms, because these are the people who enabled the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- We can never repay them. We can and are making great efforts to ensure that families of martyrs and war veterans receive regular compensation. Also, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the relevant ministry are committed to ensuring that veteran benefits and achieved rights are not reduced. It is our obligation to restore the dignity of the veteran, and of the families of martyrs and war veterans. All citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are obliged to show respect to the people who gave the most for the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Bukvarević.
