Minister Avdić congratulates the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on qualifying for the European Championship

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton Samir Avdić congratulated the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on qualifying for the European Championship, which will be held in January next year in Hungary and Slovakia.

“I extend sincere congratulations to the handball players and the professional staff on the repeated qualification of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the European Championship in handball, with the wish and hope for new victories. Every success of our athletes makes me particularly happy and proud, especially when it happens in such challenging and difficult times. I am convinced that our national team will represent our country sportingly and with dignity and bring us many victories and a high ranking. Sarajevo Canton, as before, will be with our boys so that they can represent Bosnia and Herzegovina as successfully as possible,” said Minister Avdić in his congratulatory message.

Otherwise, this is the second time in history that the Bosnia and Herzegovina national handball team has qualified for the European Championship.

We remind you that our national team participated for the first time in the European Championship in 2020, which was held in Austria, Norway, and Sweden.
