Milorad Dodik: The Srebrenica genocide was not a fight for Serbdom, but cowardice

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that the Srebrenica genocide was not a fight for Serbdom, but the biggest blow to Serbdom and cowardice, adding that "we need a truth that everyone will accept".

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of Srebrenica, Dodik told "Politika" that RS institutions have not hidden any criminals and that he regrets all those who suffered.

- It is a huge crime, which has also caused a huge political obstacle. This is also shown by the propaganda that tries to create an image that all Serbs are potential murderers in Srebrenica. Serbs have never committed atrocities in the past, on the contrary, they behaved chivalrously, not cowardly, as they behaved in Srebrenica," Dodik emphasized.

According to him, Srebrenica requires "a new approach and a new examination of reality, which everyone would accept".

- We want the truth about it, it could be achieved through a new international commission which, whatever data it provides - we are ready to accept it - Dodik said.

Speaking about the current relations in BiH, Dodik reminded that his Alliance of Independent Social Democrats is not part of the government at the BiH level and that it will "deal with its own policies at the RS level, closely monitoring what is happening at the BiH level.

- Nothing that is not in accordance with the Constitution - will pass, no decision. It is better not to try, because we have mechanisms to stop it - he said in an interview titled "BiH is an unnecessary place for us".

Dodik reiterated that BiH is an unsustainable country, "which is confirmed by the fact that the conglomeration that has gathered in Sarajevo for almost seven months cannot form a government".

- I don't have time for failed policies. Go ahead, form a government, our message that we have clearly stated is that everything that is in accordance with the Constitution is acceptable, what is not - it is better not to try - Dodik concluded for "Politika", reports Blic.
