
(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office against Milanko Rajić for the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population.
Rajić is accused of, during 1992, in the area of the Ilijaš municipality, violating the rules of international humanitarian law, acting inhumanely towards the civilian population.
In August 1992, the accused fired several shots from his apartment in Kakanjska Street in Ilijaš towards the apartment where B.K. lived, after which, armed with a rifle, he went in front of the building where the victim lived with his family. On that occasion, he physically assaulted the victim, causing him serious bodily injuries, and then forcibly took him to his apartment, where he held him captive and continued to physically abuse him.
For the main hearing, the court proposed hearing three witnesses, medical experts, and presenting more than 20 material pieces of evidence.
