(Patria) - The Mechanism for International Tribunals has launched an investigation after Hague convict Radovan Karadžić called in from his detention unit to a forum held in Podgorica.
In an act published by the MICT, an investigation was ordered, i.e., that the "non-privileged" telephone conversations of the convicted Karadžić from recent days, including May 1, be listened to.
Also, authorization was issued for an authorized officer to henceforth check every Karadžić call. The decision came into effect yesterday.
Former President of Republika Srpska Radovan Karadžić addressed those present on Saturday by phone at a forum organized in Podgorica, where fellow Hague convict Momčilo Krajišnik also spoke as a guest.

We recall, earlier the Office of the Registrar of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT) ordered the monitoring of Ratko Mladić's calls after he called in from detention to a show on Serbian television "Happy" in November last year.
Mladić addressed the guests in the show on November 16 – Vojislav Šešelj and Pavel Dorokhin – after being called by phone by his son Darko Mladić, who was also a guest on that show.
