Merhamet in Mostar hosted iftar for commanders of the Army and MUP of RBiH

(Patria) - Organized by the Regional and Basic Board of Merhamet Mostar, an iftar was held tonight for the wartime commanders of the Mostar units of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The iftar was attended by Deputy Commanders of the 4th Corps of ARBiH Mustafa Isović and Safet Oručević, member of the 4th Corps command Šefkija Džiho, as well as commanders of brigades and battalions Esad Humo, Šerif Špago, Šemsudin Hasić, Esad Eminović, Selim Isić, Avdo Idriz, Zijat Mušić, Jasmin Kazazić, Hamid Mutilović, Nijaz Hodžić, Ibrica Ljevo, and others.

Also, the heads of the MUP CSB Mostar during the war period Ramo Masleša and Safet Memić, retired Mostar mufti Seid ef. Smajkić, Deputy President of the Association of Recipients of the Highest Wartime Awards "Golden Lily" HNK Osman Pajević, Vice-President of JOB City of Mostar Suad Marić, Alija Behram - Editor-in-Chief of Radio Mostar - War Studio, as well as the family of the hero of the defensive-liberation war, General Midhad Hujdur Hujka, responded to the iftar.

Adnin Hasić, director of the Regional Board of Merhamet Mostar, briefly addressed the attendees, thanking everyone for coming and emphasizing the importance of commanders of ARBiH units gathering together and reminiscing about their unity during the most difficult moments of the struggle for the survival of the people and the state.

- Merhamet stood with the people and the Army during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today, in peace, it continues to stand with people in need - said Hasić.

On behalf of the attendees, Esad Humo addressed the gathering, thanking the leadership of Merhamet for the invitation.

- I think we should socialize more often. Perhaps iftars are not the best occasion, as some of us are more or less inclined towards faith, and we also have different faiths, but every opportunity is golden. It is especially important that we meet and socialize in these difficult times when the world and our surroundings are generating uncertainty and problems.

We must be together and be vigilant. And faith and politics, of course, should be present, just as much as they were in the most difficult times when we defended and liberated Mostar - said Humo.

The attendees recited Fatiha for all fallen and deceased commanders and members of ARBiH and MUP of RBiH, and the iftar prayer was recited by retired mufti Seid-ef. Smajkić.
