Memorial Center Takes Over Hague Archive Documents on Srebrenica Genocide

(Patria) - The Srebrenica Memorial Center has taken over the complete digital archive of all publicly available judicial materials of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), relating to the Srebrenica genocide of July 1995.

This makes it the only institution outside the IRMCT to have consolidated verdicts, evidence, transcripts and audiovisual recordings in one place, accessible to the public, researchers and institutions worldwide.

This step was made possible through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in April 2025.

Director of the Memorial Center Emir Suljagić considers this a turning point in the memory and documentation of the genocide, as all relevant cases now physically and digitally exist in Potočari.

The Center thus confirms itself as the main place of remembrance, research and fight against genocide denial, and as a regional archive of international justice.

Access to the archive will be provided in compliance with legal and security frameworks.
