SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The family members of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, as well as the group "Justice for David", which has been seeking the truth about the death of 21-year-old David Dragičević for over a year, will join the protests in front of the building of state judicial institutions of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Court of BiH and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) scheduled for Wednesday at 12 noon. The protests were called by the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić, after the portal Žurnal published an article and video footage about the involvement of the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milan Tegeltija, in a corruption scandal, in which he was supposed to influence the then Chief Prosecutor of Sarajevo Canton, Dalida Burzić, to expedite a criminal case, while Marko Pandža, an inspector of the Agency for Investigations and Protection of BiH (SIPA), took 2,000 KM from a businessman from Velika Kladuša for this service, noting that he would "shoe" Tegeltija with that money.
Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered Dženan, told the Patria agency that they would demand the resignations of judicial officials at the protests.
"I also have a question for the President of the HJPC, Milan Tegeltija: Who was the farrier in the Dženan Memić case? He violated the law, and now he is seeking protection because he is worried about his safety," Memić said, adding that it is not just about protests against the HJPC but the entire judicial system.
"If they don't listen to me, let them listen to the experts. Judge Branko Perić said that the judiciary has come to an end."
He stated that the resignations of all HJPC members who voted for the appointment of Dalida Burzić as a judge of the Court of BiH, despite all the complaints Memić had filed against her, would be demanded.
"I have information that Burzić will not stay here either, but that they want to appoint her as the head of the Supreme Court of FBiH. I have been waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court of FBiH for over a month, and after that, I will organize protests as I promised," Memić told Patria.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH opened a case into the murder of Dženan Memić last year, and Muriz Memić has testified several times, but it is still unknown in which direction the investigation is heading.
