Mehmedović: Council of Ministers of BiH conclusions came a month too late!

The Council of Ministers of BiH held a session almost a month after the unrest and burning of BiH institutions, where they considered and analyzed the events of February 7. The conclusions that the Council of Ministers sent to the public and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH came too late, according to the opinion of a member of the BiH Parliament, Šemsudin Mehmedović (SDA). In a statement to the BiH news agency Patria (NAP), Mehmedović says that the conclusions came too late and that he sees no purpose in them.

- The Council of Ministers, as the Government of BiH, should have reacted promptly, on the same day they saw that the political and security situation in BiH was being jeopardized, which could have had unforeseeable consequences. In addition, the Presidency of BiH was set on fire, and the agencies that were obliged to maintain order in BiH did not respond – says Mehmedović.

He added that there are no sanctions against the Council of Ministers either, because there is no will in the parliamentary majority.

- Sanctions against the Council of Ministers can be in the form of dismissal and a vote of no confidence. But it is obvious that the parliamentary majority has neither the courage nor the will to do such a thing – added Mehmedović.

We remind you that, among other things, the Council of Ministers concluded that the security situation is very complex and delicate, and therefore requires the maximum engagement of all relevant factors, both political and institutional at all levels of government, to work on overcoming accumulated problems through even stronger work engagement and social sensitivity and open dialogue with the wider community.
