Idriz Mehmedović has been trying for several years to get a cow, or a few goats, which would mean an easier and more comfortable life for his family, but he has not succeeded no matter how hard he tries, writes the Patria news agency.
This young father of three children, who returned to his native village of Pahljević near Zvornik after the end of the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, struggles to feed his family because he has no permanent employment. He does not hide that he and his wife often go hungry, because the little food he earns often has to be saved for the children.
Because of this, says Idriz, his only wish is to get a cow, from whose milk he could make enough quality food for all household members.
Despite the difficult life that has befallen them, this family is cheerful, and their two children regularly attend school in Konjević Polje, which is seven kilometers away from their home, writes Patria.
Anyone who wants to help Idriz feed his family more easily can contact him at phone number 062 798 102.
You can also make a donation to the Citizens' Association "Svjetlo", address: Ilidža, Plandišta no. 2, with the note for the Mehmedović family.
