Medvedev eliminated Tsitsipas and set up AO final with Nadal

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev is the second finalist of the Australian Open after defeating Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 3:1 in the semi-finals.

Medvedev needed 2 hours and 33 minutes for the victory, and the score by sets was 7:6, 4:6, 6:4, 6:1.

The most drama was seen in the first set, which the Russian won in a tie-break 7:6. Tsitsipas came back in the second set, which he won 6:4. This set was also marked by Medvedev's accusations against the umpire for tolerating alleged "coaching" from Tsitsipas's father.

However, despite visible nervousness, Daniil managed to win the third set thanks to a break in the ninth game, and then in the fourth set, he completely demolished an indisposed Tsitsipas.

Medvedev will play against Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the final, and that match is scheduled for Sunday.
