SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Medical staff and the healthcare system have been put to the ultimate test in recent months.
Working on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus, but also experiencing personal struggles against fear and uncertainty, certainly takes a toll on the daily lives of medical technicians and doctors.
They not only fear for their patients, but they also fear for their families, and hope every day not to bring the infection from the workplace into their homes.
However, doctors strive to remain optimistic and find ways to relax in stressful situations, CdM reports.
Medical workers around the world are participating in dance challenges on social media, which helps them share smiles and relax during the demanding coronavirus pandemic.
"I've never felt so connected to healthcare workers; we all feel like we're one big team around the world," explained one of the participants in this dance challenge.
In Philadelphia, a team of medical technicians from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital grooved to the song "Level Up".
Medical technician Jeffrey Salvatore says they often play that song to stay motivated at their workplace. The team started dancing to warm up during outdoor testing.
"It brings us joy," he told CNN.
"It lifts our spirits while we're doing testing outside in the cold and rain. It's a mechanism we use," Salvatore added.
But don't worry, although it might seem like these doctors practice their dance moves a lot, they still emphasize that their time is primarily spent on patients.
