(Patria) - Damir Mašić, SDP representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, spoke on BHRT's Morning for Everyone about the current political situation in BiH, as well as the state within the SDP BiH and the conflict that exists between certain organizations of this party. The public conflict has been ongoing for some time between part of the SDP Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipal Committee and Vojin Mijatović, with the SDP Banja Luka City Committee also getting involved.
Although he said he never publicly comments on internal party matters, Mašić nevertheless emphasized that he believes the way Vojin Mijatović acted was not good and that problems will not be resolved that way.
"Why colleague Mijatović is doing that, he should be asked. Problems of political parties, companies, or families have never been solved on social networks, but through discussion of those problems. I think that is the only way. There are always dissatisfied individuals, dissatisfied organizations, those who want to meddle from the sidelines, who want to influence from cafés, who are not direct participants in political processes but would like to pull strings from the shadows and manage things," said Mašić.
He explained this by saying that they are a party that is part of the government and that immediately people who have no connection to the SDP appear and suddenly they are the biggest social democrats, recognizing their personal interest.
"We already went through that in the 2010-2014 term," said Mašić.
When it comes to candidates for mayors and municipal heads, Mašić said he will do everything to ensure the trio has joint candidates because that has proven successful and yields results.
