The massacre in Halači Street, on Baščaršija in Sarajevo, occurred on August 23, 1992, during the siege of Sarajevo by the Serbian aggressor in the course of the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
That day, a shell fired from Serbian positions killed eight and seriously wounded three civilians in the historical and cultural center of Sarajevo.
On that occasion, Dženan Aljević, Mahir Ferhatović, Tarik Harta, Esma Muratović, Meliha Muratović-Spahić, Almasa Spahić, Mahira Spahić, and Ismet Suljić were killed.
The massacre in Halači Street is just one of many massacres committed by the Serbian aggressor army, not only in Sarajevo but also throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation of the Sarajevo Canton will lay flowers and pay tribute to the victims at the site of the tragedy at 10 a.m.
