(Patria) - At just 17 years old, he arrived at Real as a wonderkid, but his talent never surfaced in Madrid, so after several loans, he finally arrived at Arsenal in 2021.

And that was finally the right combination - Martin Odegaard became a key player and captain of the North London club. And how important he is to the "Gunners" is best shown by the fact that he signed a new five-year contract today.

- I have felt great at Arsenal from day one and this is definitely my home - said the Norwegian footballer after signing a contract until 2028.

Last year, after a series of unsuccessful seasons, Arsenal fought for the title in England and returned to the Champions League.

I'm really excited about what's to come, I've found a place I can really call my home - added Odegaard.
