Marković and Vrabac opened the new season by winning the trophy

Spanish club Iberostar Tenerife won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup last weekend, reports Patria agency.

BiH coach Nenad Marković and our national team captain Adin Vrabac thus started the season in their new club in the best possible way.

Iberostar celebrated a victory against the Venezuelan club Guaros de Lara with a score of 76:71.

- We prepared for this match, but also for the opponent's strange play. What people will remember is the team that won the trophy, and that's us. I think we deserved it. We played better, although we didn't play the basketball we wanted – said Neno Marković after the match.

Our national team captain Adin Vrabac arrived at the Tenerife club a month ago from Belgrade's Partizan on Marković's recommendation.

Vrabac did not play in this match.
