(Patria) - Marco Asensio is the new PSG player. The Parisian club confirmed this news on its website.

Real Madrid wanted to keep Asensio, but the conditions offered to him and the little playing time last season were decisive for the forward to leave the Spanish capital.

Asensio arrived at Real in 2014 from Mallorca, and spent his first two seasons on loan at the club he came from and at Espanyol.

Since 2016, he has been a continuous member of the first team of the Madrid club, scoring 57 goals in 248 appearances. He also won 17 trophies.

- It is a privilege to be part of this great club. I look forward to joining my new teammates and working with them to achieve great goals - said Asensio.

Asensio signed a three-year contract with PSG.
