"European Manager" Event: Schuman and Bassanese Among Laureates

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The 40th event to announce the best European managers and personalities will be held in Sarajevo tonight.

"This is a rarity and I don't know of any project in Europe that has been awarding prizes for 40 years. The event has existed for 25 years, and in Sarajevo we award prizes for Europe, while in Banja Luka we award prizes for successful people from BiH," said the organizer of this event, Pane Škrbić, as a guest on N1.

As he said, they strive to promote only the best things.

This year, about a thousand candidates were nominated, and 21 managers and 15 individuals from other fields will receive the award.

Bilal Šuman, selector of the handball national team, is one of the laureates.

Umag is the city declared as the best place to live, and the mayor of that city, candidate for the "European Mayor" award, Vili Bassanese, spoke on N1.

"Everyone wants to live in an orderly and well-organized community, which has its standards and system. When you have that, then you live in a happy community," added Bassanese.

He says that a large team stands behind him.

"Multiculturalism sets Umag apart, because people of various nationalities live in an idyllic atmosphere, whose diversity is a richness," adds Bassanese.

He adds that one-fifth of the people in Umag are of Bosnian origin.
