(Patria) - The Mayor of the Centar Municipality, Srđan Mandić, whose recall will be decided by the citizens of Centar in a referendum next month, hosted a delegation from the Herceg Novi Municipality in Montenegro today, led by the President of the Municipality, Stevan Katić.
The delegation from Herceg Novi is on a two-day official visit to Sarajevo, as part of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, the largest film festival in the region, and the "Festival in Centar" event taking place in Radićeva Street.
And nothing would be unusual if Katić were not one of those who respects the symbols of Serbia more than those of the state of Montenegro.
After Jakov Milatović's victory in the presidential elections, Katić, in the company of several priests and individuals waving the Serbian flag, celebrated with the song "Veseli se, srpski rode" (Rejoice, Serbian kin), an "ode to the Serbian people." Read more in the article from Pobjeda.
After the burial of the genocide victims on July 11 in Potočari, that same song was played from the churchyard, and returnees and families of the victims interpreted it as an open provocation and disrespect for the genocide victims.
