Futsal Tournament Asim Ferhatović - Hase this weekend at KSC Skenderija

The traditional New Year's futsal tournament "Asim Ferhatović-Hase" will be held on December 27 and 28 at the Skenderija Cultural and Sports Center. The New Year's tournament, the 22nd in a row, is organized by the Vratnik Football Club under the auspices of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, the mayor of Stari Grad Municipality, emphasized that the Municipality has traditionally participated in the organization of this tournament for many years.

- I am pleased that we were able to give significance to the legend of BiH football Asim Ferhatović-Hase in this way. I hope that next year, in accordance with our capabilities, we will not only continue to support this tournament but also make it better, bigger, and of higher quality - said Hadžibajrić.

On behalf of the organizers, Redžad Ćatić, president of FK "Vratnik", Edis Kusturica, president of FK "Sarajevo", Ismet Feraget, member of the management board of FK "Vratnik", and Amir Husić, secretary of FK "Vratnik" addressed the attendees.
Ćatić thanked the Municipality of Stari Grad and Mayor Hadžibajrić for their many years of active participation in the organization of the tournament, and expressed hope that the tournament will survive in the coming years, given the difficult financial situation the entire country is in.
Kusturica said that there was no dilemma when they received the invitation to participate in the organization of the tournament.
- Asim Ferhatović - Hase was the trademark of the City of Sarajevo and FK "Sarajevo". He gained his fame and popularity there. I can safely say that he is a football legend of FK "Sarajevo" - were Kusturica's words.
Feraget pointed out that there are fewer and fewer people willing to get involved in such projects lately, but that with the help of the Municipality of Stari Grad, they have managed to continue the tradition.

This year's International Futsal Tournament "Asim Ferhatović – Hase" will begin on Saturday (December 27) with a match between FK Sarajevo and FK Vratnik, while the final match will be played on Sunday (December 28) at 5 PM.
Tournament participants include: FK "Sarajevo", FK "Željezničar", "Avaz-sport" Selection, FK "Vratnik", MNK "Stari Grad", MNK "Centar", and the selections "Max-bet" and "Austria".
