(Patria) - The editor of BHT1 Information Program, Marko Radoja, made a decision last year that the presenters of this television house would not wear the Srebrenica Flower on their lapels as a symbol of the suffering of the victims of the Srebrenica genocide. In addition to this ban, Radoja also requested that his name not be credited on the closing credits of news programs dedicated to reporting on the anniversary of the genocide and the burial of victims in Potočari.
On this occasion, the Association 'Mothers of Srebrenica' sent 10 Srebrenica Flowers to editor Radoja by registered mail.
As they promised last year, the Mothers sent flowers to Radoja, and they hope that the presenters will have Srebrenica symbols on their lapels. Marko Radoja was appointed editor of the BHT1 Information Program in March 2018. Before being employed at BHT, he worked as a journalist for RTRS and Al Jazeera Balkans.
The Independent Trade Union of Workers (SSR) at BHRT requested the dismissal of BHT1 Information Program editor Marko Radoja from the BHRT management due to damage to BHRT's reputation and exceeding his authority, regarding his public statements and unauthorized actions concerning the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
This event has never reached a final conclusion.
