Mothers of Srebrenica visited Municipality of Novi Grad and talked with Mayor Efendić

(Patria) - Representatives of the associations "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa" and "Mothers of Podrinje", whose work this Sarajevo municipality has been continuously supporting for over ten years, visited the Municipality of Novi Grad today.

"I expressed great respect for their work and results, which are of historical and global significance. In November this year, the Srebrenica Flower is planned to be placed in front of the UN building in New York in memory of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.



All the processes that took place before the War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague, as well as before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, would have looked different without their presence and testimony.

The existence of the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potočari is also their merit, but their fight for truth and justice continues and they are tirelessly leading it all over the world.



Therefore, and because of the sacrifice each of them has individually endured, each of them deserves every respect and support," announced the Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, Semir Efendić, after the meeting.
