Mother and child trapped in elevator, OKI Upravitelj ignored the first call for help!

On Wednesday morning, at Teheranski trg 9 (Vojničko polje), an elevator got stuck with a mother and child inside. A young man heard their banging and calls for help, contacted OKI-Upravitelj and reported the incident, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.   

Although OKI said they would send a team, no one arrived even ten minutes after the call, so the frightened woman decided to call again.

When she asked why no one was coming, a female voice on the other end said they had not received any call and that they would send a team quickly. When the technicians finally arrived and freed the woman and child from the elevator, the frightened child was crying, and many neighbors were outraged by the behavior of the building manager who regularly sends his bills.

- It is hard to say what is more unbelievable. That the OKI employee ignored the first call for help, or that she brazenly lied that no one had called at all - said one of the neighbors.

Incidentally, the director of OKI-Upravitelj is Edhem Okerić, brother of Šefkija Okerić, who also owns the construction company OKI. It is well known that they have long been close to the structures of the SDA, and Šefkija Okerić is now a member of the party's Main Board, having previously been a member of the Personnel Commission.
