Mahmutbegović: Konaković paid for his ministerial chair with concessions, what is he ready to give the HDZ for remaining in power?

(Patria) - SDA Vice-President and Member of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament Melika Mahmutbegović commented on Elmedin Konaković's statements in which he mentioned political bargaining between SDA, NES, and the Party for BiH.

Mahmutbegović stated in a press release that Konaković is trying to justify his political moves with statements like this.

"Elmedin Konaković's statement that the Isak family became part of the ruling coalition after SDA 'finished NES and SBiH in their own way' shows that the NiP president is ready to insult the intelligence of citizens, even his own voters, in an attempt to justify catastrophic moves and concessions for which he paid for his ministerial chair," said Mahmutbegović.

She also commented on the relationship between Isak and the Trojka parties.

"If Konaković is unable to come up with anything more convincing than the thesis that SDA 'finished' NES and SBiH by these parties remaining in opposition because they did not agree to trample on the electoral will of the Bosniak people, and that Isak, for the sake of principles and the general good, joined Trojka after leaving NES because he 'did not want to support an unconstitutional government' and because 'Bosniak interests are above all else,' then we must truly worry about such a person currently holding the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH," she said.

She also points out that Konaković should explain to the prosecutor's office what the support of Arnel Isak and Kenan Uzunović in the FBiH Parliament was paid for.

"Instead of senseless excuses and accusations of bargaining and 'finishing,' Konaković should explain to the public, and certainly to the competent prosecutor's office, what the support of Arnel Isak and Kenan Uzunović in the FBiH Parliament was paid for, but also finally answer the unanswered questions about his role in the election of delegates from the Bosansko-podrinjski and Posavski cantons or the method of collecting a majority in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and Sarajevo municipalities," Mahmutbegović stated.

She also asked what the Trojka will give the HDZ in exchange for remaining in power.

"If only one 'hand' of Arnel Isak was paid with a ministerial chair for his father and a director position for his brother, and lucrative contracts with a private company owned by them are also mentioned, the public rightly fears at the thought of what Konaković and his partners from 'Trojka' are giving the HDZ in exchange for entering and remaining in power," Mahmutbegović concluded.
