Magoda, Uk and Mandić: National stadium to be built in Sarajevo

(Patria) - The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton and the Centar Municipality are fully prepared to build a national stadium in Sarajevo in cooperation with the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Our vision is not just the construction of a facility, but the creation of a symbol of Bosnia and Herzegovina's sporting pride. We have the best location and stadium in the country, ready to take on the role of the national stadium.

Sarajevo deserves a stadium that will be the pride of the entire country – modern, functional, and in line with the highest European standards. It is entirely logical for that stadium to be located in the capital city of our only Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, we invite the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina to build the foundations for future generations and common successes together, and for the national stadium to be located in Sarajevo," stated the participants of today's agreement: Prime Minister of KS Nihad Uk, Minister of Culture and Sports of KS Kenan Magoda, and Mayor of Centar Municipality Srđan Mandić.

We remind you that the president of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vico Zeljković, announced last week that the project of building a national stadium in Zenica would commence, and that the option of the stadium being located in Sarajevo had been abandoned.
