Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs: Milorad Dodik is a friend of our country

(Patria) - Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto reacted after the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik, by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and banned from holding the office of RS President for a period of six years.

In a reaction on the social network X, Szijjarto stated that Dodik was democratically elected by the people.

He said it is time to talk with leaders in the Western Balkans.

"It is time for everyone to understand that the point is not to talk about elected leaders in the Western Balkans, but to talk with them," said Szijjarto.

He added that Dodik is a friend of Hungary.

"Milorad Dodik is a friend of Hungary, and Hungary stands by its friends," he concluded.
