Hungarians don't relent: 2,000 refugees camping at the train station

Hundreds of refugees have been demonstrating for the second day due to Hungary's decision not to allow passage to Germany or other EU countries, reports the Patria News Agency.

Approximately 2,000 people are camping at Keleti train station, and they have already bought tickets for their journeys, writes the BBC.  Meanwhile, more than 4,000 refugees have arrived in Greece from the island of Lesbos.

The European Union is struggling to agree on a unified policy for countries grappling with the refugee crisis. The European Commission is compiling a list of safe countries of origin to which asylum seekers who do not receive asylum will be returned. A plan for redistributing refugees across EU countries is currently being developed.

Italy and Greece claim they can no longer cope with the large number of refugees arriving on their shores.  Turkish media reported today that 11 refugees drowned while trying to reach Greece, writes Index.
