(Patria) - The joint candidate of the Croatian opposition "Petorka" for the BiH Presidency member from the Croatian people, Zdenko Lučić, has publicly admitted that he, along with Darijana Filipović, is actually HDZ BiH's candidate.
In an interview with Hercegovina.info, Lučić spoke about how he entered the race, his relationship with HDZ BiH, his opponents, and his vision for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, the part of the interview in which he stated that, although he is presented to the public as the opposition "Petorka's" candidate, he does not come from outside the HDZ's political space, is particularly interesting.
On the contrary, Lučić emphasized that he was part of HDZ BiH and that he formally never stopped being a member of that party.
- Well, I am not an outsider, I am a founder of HDZ. Officially, formally, and legally, I was involved in politics until 2000, when my mandate in the Federal Parliament ended.
Then I went into other waters, to the Republic of Croatia, and engaged in business. I come from the HDZ BiH system - said Lučić.
To the direct question of whether he is still a member of HDZ BiH today, he answered: "No one has sent me a resignation letter, and nowhere does it say that I am not a member of HDZ BiH."
When the journalist stated that it could be said that two members of HDZ BiH would oppose each other in the race for the BiH Presidency member, Lučić said: "That thesis could be formally and legally confirmed."
