Lubitz gets support group on Facebook

Andreas Lubitz (27), co-pilot of the Germanwings plane, accused of taking 149 passengers and crew members to their deaths by intentionally crashing the plane, has also received his first Facebook support group called "Andreas Lubitz A320 - we are against the hunt", which currently includes mostly people from Montabaur and its surroundings, the town where the young man was born, reports the Daily Mail, reports the Patria News Agency.

The group had 4,100 followers on Tuesday afternoon, and its founder, a certain Stefan, wrote that he does not believe what the media is reporting and that Lubitz was chosen as a scapegoat so that the company could hide that the plane had actually crashed due to technical difficulties.

-The goal of the group is not to praise Lubitz to the skies. We fight for everyone to remain innocent until proven otherwise. We cannot know what the truth is because we were not sitting in the cockpit.

But we can recognize too many inconsistencies, even obvious lies, in the story the media is telling, wrote the founder, and together with like-minded people, he questioned almost everything the media had published so far, from reports on Lubitz's mental health to the contents of the black box.
